Cycling Journeys (Connaught Water)

Helena and I just got back from a 25 mile round trip cycle to Connaught Water (Essex)…I’d forgotten how hilly it was to get there, we’re shattered 🙂

The image was sourced from The Geograph Britain and Ireland project as I forgot to take a camera.

Cycling Journeys (Greenwich)

Helena and I just got back from cycling to the Royal Observatory at Greenwich, our first 20 mile round trip, I’m so proud of her 🙂

Cycling Journeys (the work run)

I cycled into Helena’s new work with Helena this morning, which was fun apart from 1 unscheduled diversion, but on the way back I decided to explore.

This was not my brightest move; Central London, rush hour, suicidal pedestrians, kamikaze cyclists, and unobservant car drivers…thoroughly knackered now 🙂

A surprise early birthday present

My girlfriend wants to get in training for next years London triathlon, so she ordered a hybrid bicycle on-line, but it turned out to be too big for her (despite following the Evans Cycles frame size guide).

My 15 year old mountain bike would need some work to be made road-worthy again, so she gave me this new bike as an early birthday present (and ordered a new one for herself).

So, I now have a shiny, new, ‘Bianchi Spillo Rubino’ with which to get back into training!
